Comidas Bolivianos

Finally, cheap eats (that arent Empanadas).

We found these stalls above the market in Tupiza.

Pollo Picante con arroz y chuno (dehydrated potatos). 12 Bs

Mais con papas y ensalada. 6Bs
(11 Bolivianos to the Pound)

Bombitas de Papas. Deep fried mash potato with egg and meat surprise inside. 2Bs.

CAKE! Sweet sweet cake on street corners, sold by the slice. Excellent.

Tomalo or Tomales. They take the corn out of its leaf, mash it up with cheese and some other stuff and then put it back in again. 2.50Bs

Pique Macho. Or, cheesey chips and gravey on steroids!
Chips, onions, tomato stuff, a faint trace of a green pepper, egg, cheese, hot dog sausages, beef of some kind, with a tomato and mayonaise on top. A Bolivian Sunday classic. Phew feel a bit grose just looking at it. 40Bs.
